DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — A minimum of three individuals have been killed by an earthquake in southern Iran early Saturday morning, state tv reported.
“Sadly so far we have now had three deaths and eight wounded,” Mehrdad Hassanzadeh, the pinnacle of emergency administration for Hormozgan Province on Iran’s Persian Gulf coast, mentioned within the report.
Iranian media mentioned the quake had a magnitude of 6.1, whereas the European-Mediterranean Seismological Heart put it at 6.0. The quake struck at a depth of 10 kilometers, or simply over six miles, the European monitoring group mentioned. Tremors have been felt in Dubai within the United Arab Emirates.
