An Icelandic Saga by Carl Gallagher
Whether or not within the type of nebulae or starry galactic expanses, pure mild continues to dominate Royal Museums Greenwich’s Astronomy Photographer of the 12 months competitors (beforehand). The 14th annual contest garnered greater than 3,000 submissions from 67 nations, and a shortlist of finalists incorporates beautiful photographs of a September harvest moon illuminating Glastonbury Tor, the good streaks trailing Comet Leonard, and the colourful Aurora Borealis casting an ominous glow above a battered ship in Westfjords.
Profitable photographs will likely be introduced on September 15 with an exhibition opening on the Nationwide Maritime Museum on September 17. Till then, peruse the complete assortment on the Royal Museum Greenwich website.
